1. The Greens call for a 30% reduction by 2020 and a 90% reduction 2050 but actually only require 20% and 60% reduction to be achieved locally. Given that very little carbon trading schemes actually reduce to absolute volume of CO2 in the atmosphere but instead only relatively reduce CO2, this is a dubious policy.
2. Nationals GHG reduction goal is 50% reduction on 1990 levels of emissions by 2050.
3. Labour will delay agriculture in to the ETS till 2013.
4. The Greens also support New Zealanders returning home during times of global crisis.
